New concept successfully implemented
vi2vi Retail Solution GmbH was founded in 2015 and sees itself as a system house for IP-based video surveillance applications and intrusion detection technology in the customer segment of large internationally operating retail companies.
In this area, vi2vi Retail Solution carries out international roll-out projects of IP video surveillance systems and intrusion detection systems from your location in Ettlingen.
By consistently focusing on the market segment of multinational companies in the retail sector, vi2vi Retail Solution is able to offer comprehensive know-how and experience regarding the requirements and solutions for standard video surveillance applications, business video intelligence applications as well as the use of corresponding intrusion detection technology in large roll-out projects.
In addition to the corresponding pre-sales and planning services before the start of the project, experienced project managers from vi2vi Retail Solution GmbH, together with the manufacturers in the video sector (Axis, Bosch, SeeTec, etc.) and the manufacturers in the intrusion detection sector (Honeywell, Vanderbilt), support the customers internationally on site in the implementation of the projects in project management, through multilingual training of the local partners for assembly and installation on site and in corresponding factory acceptance tests.
The service portfolio is supplemented by appropriate remote support and services, as well as the setup of corresponding monitoring systems by vi2vi Retail Solution system integrators.

Juli 2015
A start has been made
July 13, 2015 is the day on which we, vi2vi Retail Solution GmbH, officially celebrated our birth. At that time, together with our sister company vi2vi GMS GmbH, we started with six employees on almost 87 square meters. At that time, vi2vi Retail Solution GmbH was spun off from vi2vi GmbH and founded with a focus on retail solutions and processes in the environment of international retailers. Together, the managing directors Matthias Bechler and Thomas Kunz created a completely new concept. With 6 employees we started into a new future
2016
On to new shores
In 2016 we started projects in countries in Europe that were new to us: the Netherlands, France, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Hungary, Lithuania and Spain.
June 2017
Moving to the new premises
Due to the constant growth of the company, the move to our new premises was due in June 2017. With a large hall, nothing stood in the way of further growth and new exciting projects.
2017
Award: Partner of the year
Through our project with the largest volume (sales at Axis) in the retail sector within the last year and a half, we made it to Axis' ``Partner of the year`` award in 2017. We were honored and impressed by the professionalism and technical know-how of our employees. With this award in 2017, Axis would also like to say thank you for the 100% loyalty to our company, which makes us very proud!
2018
Kick off in Portugal
In 2018, with 12 employees, we went to Portugal for the first time. In three days of intensive cooperation, goals for the coming year were set and experiences from the past year were shared. Well prepared, we start the new fiscal year together.
January 2019
Our new working world
The year started with the creation of a new working environment in our hall. In addition to additional workplaces, a new area was created where meetings can take place in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
October 2019
Award: Women in Security
Presentation of the Axis Special Award Woman in Security, which was given to particularly dedicated women in the security industry. Among them our colleague Ramona Gauss from Purchasing and our colleague Belinda Dettinger from vi2vi GmbH.
June 2020
5 year anniversary
Today our team consists of 30 employees. With our headquarters in the middle of the Upper Rhine metropolitan region and the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion, we are now realizing our projects on around 1400 square meters. E-commerce and stationary trade are merging more and more, so that we find ourselves in a constantly changing market segment. Our team manages to face these challenges every day and to secure and strengthen our internationally recognized position as a solution partner with competence and reliability. In 2020, we brought security to over 28 countries with our video surveillance solutions and intrusion detection technologies. Where German was the mother tongue of vi2vi Retail Solution GmbH in the beginning, English, French, Spanish, Greek, Turkish, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Pashto and Dari are now spoken.
2021
Together through the pandemic
Our working world was very digital and remote from the start. But permanent home office was also a change for us. Despite all the obstacles and difficult times, we were able to increase our success with ingenuity and a lot of great projects. The hall had to be expanded to have more space for customer inquiries and orders. But the increase in new employees also required more space, despite the home office. We were able to double the number of employees in 2021 and had a total of 60 employees at the end of 2021.

For a better environment
We have formed a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) team from all departments to support and change environmental, social and cultural issues within the company, but also in the private lives of employees.
